"The Wrestler" is part of a six movie cram session that I did on a flight to Europe and frankly, this movie did not impress as much as I thought it would. The bright spot of the film is Mickey Rourke. Rourke is absolutely amazing. His acting skills are almost overshadowed by his amazingly realistic wrestling scenes. The movie does a good job looking at the sad life of a washed up pro wrestler trying to get through a desperate, pathetic life. However, its two downfalls are the pace of film and the ending. At times, "The Wrestler" tends to drag on, finally leading up to an finish that leaves the viewer completely unsatistfied. Rourke rocks, Marisa Tomei is hot, but "The Wrestler" gets pinned in the end by a terrible ending.
