A weird and random movie, "Lars and The Real Girl" is a tale about a lonely man who orders a RealDoll online and treats her as his real life, living breathing girlfriend. The premise of the story sounds a bit out there but at the core, this is a very touching film. Ryan Gosling turns in another great acting performance as the shy single loner living in his older brother's garage. Its not as much of a comedy as the film's marketing tries to lead on, more of a love story. "Lars" is truely a very odd tale but in the end it is really one of the better indie movies I've seen in a while.
